Also, My grandma has always been Catholic, She says she was born a Catholic and will die a Catholic and in between she is going to be a Catholic, dispite most of her children left the church to join some cult and push magazines door to door, she has always been very nice and accepting. Growing up in the JW environment, while most of my family either judged me or shunned me, my grandma has always been there for me, she told me one time, I don't know why our Witness family judges everyone, as a Catholic we are taught that only god can judge and we are to love everyone. That is something I never saw with my family thats in the "Truth". I can understand why some here find it hard to think of anyone leaving the JW's and going into the Catholic faith, and as for me it took about 10 years to get there, before I didn't want anything to do with church, god, or religion when ever someone started talking about it I either walked away or changed the subject. I am very happy now, and I never try to push my views on anyone else, I just know what I feel inside.

I became a Catholic after growing up in the Tower prison, why because it's the first time I felt that god was really there, no matter how you reason it with what ever books or how the JW's twist the thinking, I know that the first time I attended mass it felt like I was with god and not a cult that has a monthly magazine.

When HP first came out and I had the first 2 books, my nephew was about 6-7 (JW) he looked at them like if I had satanic books in my house, I asked him if he ever read it and he said no not suppose to, I said too bad they are great books. If Harry Potter was alive I think he would take Voldemort over the Witnesses

I love my parents but...
by mrsjones5 inhubby just told me that my father and mother accused me of stealing a mug from their house when i visited them in october of last year.
my parents sent that mug to me in a box along with some other stuff when they moved to their current house close to four years ago.
my husband knew this and defended me quite nicely but they took the mug with them when they left.

MrsJones, I'm sorry but I am on your parents side, you look like the type that goes around stealing mugs, if anyone ever has Mrsjones over for coffee or tea make sure you get your mug back, she will take it. The worse part of all she has tricked her poor husband into her mug stealing ways. Poor misguided Mrjones. ha ha ha my mom is nuts too.

is it any wonder that jehovah god will soon rid this earth of false religion?.

Old School Friend
by Wordly Andre ini signed up on that class-mates.com website, and every once and a while i get an email about all the new members that joined from my old schools, i got one of those emails today and my first high school i went to had a few new members, i noticed that i know one of the names on the list, it was my old grade school friend, he was a good little jw boy from a jw family who went to the spanish cong.
anyway i was thinking man i haven't heard from him since 8th grade and we use to be really good friends till 7th grade but then he stopped hanging out with me because i was too worldly, in fact his mother told him i was bad association.
i see now on his bio, that he is gay and has a beard, and talks about how he hopes to find his better half and spend the rest of his life with him.

Yeah don't get me wrong I always thought he was such a great kid, in fact once when we were in the 6th grade 2 7th graders were picking on him and beating him up, I jumped in and kick the crap out of them. I know he was always a big mommys boy and I know his mom thought that I wasn't JW enough to hang out with him. Well glad to know the Tower lost another member.

Jehovies at work
by Wordly Andre inmy best friend chris, works as a supervisor for a construction company has some jehovies that work for him, the other day he was saying how he thinks that they take advantage of the fact that they need time off to go to meetings, and special events.
he goes on to tell me that they must leave early mondays, tuesdays, thursdays and fridays, also they never want to work weekends because of their service time.
i started laughing and told him that he should just fire them, because they are taking advantage of his kindness and that the jws do not have that many meetings.

Aud, Thats what I thought maybe they are elders and are making private meetings to listen to young girls tell them dirty secrets, but thats not the case he said these guys are like 19-21, I don't think they are elders.

Letter

told us we are no longer appointed by holy spirit anymore, i was looking for the letter and couldnt find it, i wonder if it was one of those letter read to us as apposed to left with us?
